Abstract

In order to study the effect of mixed and sole cropping vetch(Vicia narbonensis L.) with triticale (X. triticosecale Wittmack) on their qualitative and quantitative traits, this experiment in cropping year 2013-14 was conducted with seven levels of seed contribution of vetch:triticale (100:0 or sole cropping of vetch, 100:30, 100,40, 100:50, 100:60, 100:70 and 0: 100 or sole cropping of triticale). (in dry land conditions of khorramabad in Iran) in the form of randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications at the research farm of College of Agriculture, Lorestan University.
results showed that proportion of complementary components had significant effect on hay.The highest leaf dry weight was related to sole cropping of triticale and vetch (1331 and 1227 kg/ha), respectively.
Also, the highest stem dry weight in triticale and vetch obtained from combination 100:70 and 100:60 was equal to 2798 and 1952 kg/ha, respectively. The maximum of total forage yield in triticale and vetch obtained from and combination 100:70 and 100:60 was equal to 5445 and 5208 kg/ha, respectively. The highest protein in triticale and vetch obtained from combination 100:30 and 100:70, respectively. Also, the highest NDF in triticale and vetch obtained from combination 100:70.
Thus, showed that addition of proportion of triticale is effective in qualitative and quantitative of produce. Therefore, was became increase in complementary components of bothe plant led to reduce of digestability and increase of NDF. Also, LER and CR in seed ratios 60:100 was equal to 1.60 was equal to both plants(vetch and triticale).
